The Bears have had a week to remember, in the worst kind of way.
Quarterback Justin Fields made headlines by seeming to criticize Chicago’s coaching staff, which the team took great pains to walk back. Defensive coordinator Alan Williams abruptly resigned, citing a desire to focus on his health and family. Wide receiver D.J. Moore was filmed seemingly agreeing with an opponent that the Bears were misusing his talents.
That, however, is not all.
Team officials said Friday afternoon that over $100,000 worth of equipment was stolen from a Soldier Field parking garage overnight Wednesday, per WLS-TV.
A Solider Field manager told reporters that inventory taken included “gators and lawn mowers.”
The Bears noted they are actively searching for the equipment.
To add insult to injury, Chicago is scheduled to visit the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs on Sunday.
