For the first time under Dino Babers, the Syracuse Orange are 3-0 after dismantling Florida State on Saturday 30-7.

The win snaps a ten-game losing streak to the Seminoles, and also breaks a five-game skid in ACC play.

Syracuse jumped out to a 6-0 lead at the half, before scoring 14 points in the third quarter.

Redshirt freshman Tommy Devito, filling in for injured quarterback Eric Dungey, scored on a short run in the third to push the lead to 13.

Just four minutes later, Devito connected with Ravian Pierce for a touchdown, as SU led 20-0 after three quarters.

Dontae Strickland capped off the scoring for SU late in the 4th on a 13-yard run.

Devito finished the day 11-16, tossing for 144 yards and a two touchdowns.

Syracuse racked up 441 yards of total offense, limiting Florida State to just 240 yards.

The Orange defense held the Seminoles to just 1 of 14 on third downs.

Saturday’s win was the first win over Florida State since 1966.

The Orange (3-0) will take on Connecticut next Saturday inside the Dome. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m.
