Things started slow, but once Syracuse got things going offensively it never looked back on its way to topping Boston College on the road.

SU topped BC 77-71 to get back on the winning sides of things after being handed an emabrassing loss by Virginia Tech this past weekend.

Tyus Battle led the way with a game-high 31 points, six assists and four rebounds. 21 of his 31 points came in the second half. Battle also made a team best 4 threes in the game.

The Eagles jumped out to an early 15-6 lead with 14:24 to go in the first half. The Orange then responded with a 14-0 run to take a 20-15 lead and never looked back. SU entered the halftime break with a 42-35 lead.

In the second half, Syracuse led by as much as 11 at 46-35 early in the half. BC cut the deficit to just 2 with 12:08 to play in the game at 53-51. After a timeout, Battle hit a jumper to start a 8-2 run to provide the Orange with the cushion it would hold on to for the rest of the night.

Syracuse is now 15-6(6-2) on the season. Next up SU takes on Pittsburgh on Saturday at 6 p.m., the game will air on ESPN2.
