Syracuse opens ACC play with a road victory at Notre Dame

Syracuse opened up the new year with its first win in conference play. 

The Orange topped the Notre Dame fighting Irsih 72-62 on the road to start ACC play at 1-0. 

Elijah Hughes led the way with a career-best day of 22 points on six made threes and 10 rebounds. Oshae Brissett added 19 points and 11 rebounds. Tyus Battle scored 17 points. 

Syracuse hit a season best 12 three pointers including going 7-14 in the first half. 

SU improves to 10-4(1-0) and next up hosts Clemson in its conference opener on Wednesday at 8pm in the Carrier Dome.
