A benefit for Douglas Collins and Brian McLean Jr., two of the victims of a serious crash on State Route 13 in Cayuta, will be held on Sat. June 8 at Logan Ridge Estates in Hector from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Chicken barbeque tickets are available for $10, and there will also be a silent auction, 50/50 and an appearance from 3 Inch Fury, an 80’s rock band.

To purchase tickets, email or call 607-546-6606.

On April 18, Collins and McLean were among the four victims in a three-vehicle accident in Cayuta. Collins was airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital when the truck he was driving was struck head-on.

According to a GoFundMe fundraiser, Collins suffered a shattered left pelvis, shattered left hip socket, broken ribs, shattered right ankle, shattered right knee cap, and cut to his right eyelid that required plastic surgery.

Collins remains in the hospital facing rehabilitation after several surgeries, and McLean has since been discharged.

Annette Osborne, a widowed mother of four, was killed in the accident when her vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and struck the other two vehicles.
