With the Jackals ending their franchise this weekend at First Arena, we take a look back on the greatest Elmira moments to ever grace the ice. Now, moment number two with a player they simply called “the mayor.” Eddy Lowe was loved by fellow players and fans alike.

His longevity with the Jackals (2000-2006) made him one of the most beloved players in franchise history. After setting Jackals records in games played, goals and points Elmira honored him in 2006 by retiring his jersey. Take a look back on that monumental moment in Jackals history.
