Elmira, N.Y. (WETM) – New York Sport & Fitness trainer Heather Maio is back the newest edition of Jump Start to Living Well. In this weeks episode she will be covering nutrition and nutrition habits.

When it comes to wanting to lose weight, feeling better, or even gaining muscle people are making drastic changes that end up leaving you frustrated and giving up within the week.

Maio tells dieters to start small with something as simple as adding more vegetables to your diet. She also says be mindful of whether or not you’re getting enough protein.

For the average male they should be consuming one to two palm fulls while with women, Maio says “you need more than just an egg”.

When it comes to trying out diet trends like low carb, Paleo, or Keto, Maio suggests trying to set an end date so that instead of thinking of the items you can’t eat, you just have to think how long until you can try them out again.
