Fall Caramel Apple Bread

4 tbsp. melted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
11/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
4 tsp. cinnamon, divided
1 tsp. ground ginger
2 cups peeled and cored chopped apple1(3 medium)
4 tbsp. caramel sauce
1 cup chopped pecans

Basic Preparation

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray and line a loaf pan with parchment paper. In a large
bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, milk, eggs, and vanilla until well combined.Next, add
the wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, and half of the cinnamon. Mix to combine evenly.
Now, add the chopped apples,caramel,pecans, remaining cinnamon, and the ginger to a
medium bowl and mix to combine evenly. Add half of the apple mixture to the batter and stir to
incorporate evenly. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and top with the remaining apple
mixture. Using the back of a wooden spoon, gentely push the apple mixtute into the top of the
batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, or until an inserted toothpick pulls out clean. Rest for 20
minutes before slicing. Serve as breakfast side or as a dessert with vanilla ice cream.
