Fresh Strawberry Crisp

Ingredients

5 heaping cups fresh strawberries, stemmed and quartered
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 tbsp. corn starch

Topping Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup old fashion oats
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 cup softened butter, 1 stick

Basic Preparation

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9″x9″ baking dish with release. Combine the strawberries and granulated sugar in a large bowl. Mix until all of the berries are well coated. Now, add the corn starch and mix to combine evenly. Pour the mixture into the baking dish and spread evenly.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, oats, both sugars, salt, and cinnamon. Mix to combine evenly. Next, add the softened butter and stir until all of the ingredients are well mixed and crumbly. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the strawberries. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes, or until golden brown. 

Serve with whip topping and garnish with a sliced fresh strawberry.
