Beaver Dams man indicted for Grand Larceny, stealing property from Nicholas Farms


Michael J. Rogers of Beaver Dams was indicted by a Chemung County grand jury for grand larceny in the second degree for allegedly writing bad checks to Nicholas Farms in 2017.

According to the Chemung County Sheriff’s Office, on July 27, 2017, Rogers wrote two personal checks, each check for $75,000.00, to Nicholas Farms located in Loganton, Pennsylvania.  Both checks were returned for insufficient funds and the owed money was never paid.

In November 2017, the Chemung County Criminal Investigation Division initiated an investigation intoRogers issuing bad checks throughout the country involving the sale of cattle.  

Rogers was arraigned in the Catlin Town Court and remanded to the Chemung County Jail in lieu of $10,000.00 cash bail or $20,000.00 property bond.
