AVERAGE HIGH FOR MARCH 5TH: 40°

AVERAGE LOW FOR MARCH 5TH: 19°

A cold air mass continues to usher into the Twin Tiers for Tuesday. We wake up to a mixture of sunshine and clouds ahead of a cold front moving towards the area. This cold front will allow clouds to increase into the afternoon, as well as bring the chance for light snow showers into the area. Snow squalls are also possible which could produce brief moments of heavy snow and low visibility. These look most likely between 4-6pm this afternoon.

Highs today stay in the low to mid-20s along with southwesterly winds making it feel even colder, feeling below zero at times. Any snowfall today will not accumulate much, looking like half an inch to an inch across the area. Lows tonight in the single digits once again with shower chances lingering.

Below average conditions will continue into the remainder of the work week as this cold front will act to re-enforce cold air into the region. Highs on Wednesday look to attempt to reach 20 degrees but will struggle to do so in many areas. The chance for snow showers continues into midweek with overnight lows in the single digits once again.

We look to see warmer air finally move back in to end the work week and for this weekend, but we also track our next low-pressure system that will bring the chance for rainfall into Sunday.
