ONEIDA LAKE (WSYR-TV) — Two people were rescued after their boat caught fire on Oneida Lake on Tuesday afternoon. This happened near Frenchman’s Island near the South Shore of Oneida Lake near Cicero.

The Sheriff’s office, which shared the photos below, says the two people on board jumped into the water and were picked up by another boat. They were not injured but were evaluated by an ambulance crew.

The navigation unit is investigating what caused the fire.
