Continuing with a strong northwest wind Wednesday night. Sustained winds 10-20 mph, and wind gusts up to 40 mph possible. Cold northwest winds drop our real feel temperatures into the teens and single digits overnight. Chance for snow showers continues, and gusty winds causing blowing snow and reduced visibilities. Snowfall rates near 1″ overnight, localized higher amounts possible in northern Schuyler and northwestern Steuben counties.
Continuing with gusty northwest winds up to 40 mph Thursday. Lake-effect snow pattern also continues, but the best chances staying in the Southern Tier. An additional 1-2″ of snow possible throughout the day. Highs reaching into the low to mid 20s, but feeling more like the teens and single digits with gusty winds. Lows Thursday night near 10 degrees.
Chance for a flurry early Friday, otherwise a mainly dry day. The colder than average temperatures continue with highs in the low 20s, and winds staying breezy. Next low pressure system passes to our south this weekend. This brings a chance for light snow late day Saturday into Sunday. Highs this weekend in the 20s.
