Arctic air mass continues to sit over the region through the end of the work week. Temperatures Thursday night fall to near -10 degrees. Winds still breezy, out of the west 5-15 mph. Wind chills as cold as -20 degrees possible overnight into early Friday, which could cause frostbite to exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Mainly clear skies Thursday night.
Frigid start to your Friday with actual temperatures below zero. Winds are weakening, which provides some relief for us into the afternoon. Still, below average for highs with temperatures in the mid to upper teens. Light winds, but still feeling like the single digits at times for the afternoon. High pressure still in control, which provides some sunshine. Lows Friday night in the single digits.
Increasing clouds into the weekend as the next weather-maker returns, which also comes along with a warming trend. Highs Saturday and Sunday near 40 degrees. Chance for light snowfall late day Saturday, then a light wintry mix possible Sunday.
