AVERAGE HIGH FOR MARCH 1ST: 39°
AVERAGE LOW FOR MARCH 1ST: 18°

FRIDAY SUNSET: 5:57 PM
Light snow develops early for mainly areas in northeast Pennsylvania. A weak disturbance will allow the moisture to brush the New York and Pennsylvania border through dawn before tapering off by mid-morning. Mostly cloudy skies today with peaks of sunshine also expected. Still, keeping the chance for flurries to light snowfall throughout the day. High temperatures Friday reach near 40 degrees, which is closer to average for this time of the year.
Skies remain cloudy with winds staying light out of the southeast. Overnight lows Friday night fall only in the mid to upper 20s thanks to some of that cloud cover trapping the heating at the surface.
Keeping our eye on two low pressure systems for this weekend. For Saturday, a weak area of low pressure brings a chance for light snow and rain. Highs Saturday approaching 40 degrees. A stronger area of low pressure moving up the coast brings the chance for accumulating snowfall starting midday Sunday and continuing through the night. Models still not in agreement on actual track of this system, but it looks like accumulating snow is likely. How far the system tracks inland plays a big role in how much snowfall we’ll actually see. Keeping an eye on this system as we get closer to the weekend. Highs Sunday in the low to mid 30s. Below average temperatures continue through early next week.
