Cooler air working into the region in the wake of Tuesday’s cold front. Lows Tuesday night in the mid to upper 30s. Northwest winds bringing lake-enhanced cloud cover late and a chance for spotty showers, both as light rain and light snowfall into early Wednesday. Little to no accumulation.
Chance for light showers lingers early Wednesday, but precipitation staying light. Best chances for showers in the Southern Tier. An area of high pressure noses down from the north, keeping cooler but also drier air over the region for the late day. Looking at some late day sunshine and highs near 50 degrees. We stay dry for Wednesday night with lows in the mid to upper 20s.
High pressure moves east Thursday, with increasing clouds from the west into the afternoon. Chance for a stray shower, but most of the precipitations stays well to our west. Highs Thursday in the low to mid 50s. Low pressure over the Great Lakes Friday with a cold front pushing through the region. Showers become likely late day with thunderstorms possible. Gusty winds Friday and highs into the 60s. Showers may linger into early Saturday and gusty winds continue. Highs Saturday into the 60s. Rain chances increase for Sunday as another area of low pressure impacts the region into early next week. Highs Sunday into the 50s.
