Forecast Discussion 5/5/2019 PM: Don’t leave the umbrella behind this week.

Weather

AVERAGE HIGH FOR MAY 6TH: 66°

AVERAGE LOW FOR MAY 6TH: 40°

MONDAY SUNRISE: 5:57 AM

MONDAY SUNSET: 8:10 PM

A gloomy end to the weekend today, with light rain throughout most of the Twin Tiers. Dreary conditions will continue through the evening hours, with lows tonight dropping into the upper 40s.  Showers will finally begin to taper off during the early morning hours Monday, and a break from the rain and warmer temperatures are in store for tomorrow.

High pressure arriving on Monday will keep us mostly dry through Tuesday afternoon, but we have a wet week ahead as low pressure returns to the area. Daily rain chances should be expected, and as atmospheric instability increases towards the end of the week we may see some thunderstorms on Friday. Temperatures will drop into the low 60s by the weekend behind the front.
