AVERAGE HIGH FOR JULY 15TH: 82°
AVERAGE LOW FOR JULY 15TH: 58°
MONDAY SUNRISE: 5:44 AM
MONDAY SUNSET: 8:42 PM
High pressure provided us with a beautiful end to the weekend with skies primarily sunny and a few passing clouds. Temperatures during the overnight hours will cool into the low 50s tonight. Skies will remain mostly clear and patchy fog developing in the valley areas by early Monday. Fog will begin to lift shortly after sunrise and temperatures will warm into the low 80s by the afternoon. We’ll be sitting under mainly sunny skies with just some passing clouds.
By late Monday night and into Tuesday cloud cover will begin to increase out ahead of an approaching front. The first half of Tuesday will be dry but by the afternoon we see a chance for some light showers and isolated thunderstorms. This is just the start of the unsettled weather period here in the Twin Tiers. Temperatures on Tuesday will be hot, with highs topping out at 90.
After Monday we will begin to see an increase in heat, humidity, and rain chances that will last through the beginning portion of the weekend. We’ll see multiple frontal passages this week and along with this a chance to see some remnants of Barry work into our region by Thursday. Shower and thunderstorm chances will be in the forecast from Tuesday afternoon through early Saturday morning. Temperatures will be topping out at or just slightly over 90, add in the oppressive humidity we’ll see by the end of the week and temperatures will feel more like the low 90s.
