Forecast Discussion

AVERAGE HIGH FOR JUNE 26TH: 81°

AVERAGE LOW FOR JUNE 26TH: 56°

WEDNESDAY SUNRISE: 5:33 AM

WEDNESDAY SUNSET: 8:47 PM

A broken line of showers and thunderstorms passing through the region late Wednesday afternoon, then isolated showers linger for the evening. Clearing skies into the night as a ridge of high pressure builds into the area. Light winds and limited to no cloud cover with leftover moisture from the day’s rainfall helps valley fog formation. Lows Wednesday night in the mid to upper 50s.

High pressure building into the region will help keep most of the Twin Tiers dry Thursday but still can’t rule out an isolated shower or thunderstorm late day. Otherwise, another day of sunshine which helps our temperatures into the low to mid 80s for afternoon highs. Dew points close to 60 degrees, so also feeling muggy for the afternoon. Dry for Thursday night with partly cloudy to mainly clear skies. Lows Thursday night near 60 degrees.

Unsettled weather continues Friday and for the weekend as multiple disturbances pass through the region. Still, models not agreeing on when the best chances for rainfall will be. The heat and humidity also continues with highs Friday and for the weekend into the 80s.
