Happy Friday Twin Tiers! We wake up to a few showers lingering for the region along with mostly cloudy skies. Cloud cover will begin to decrease slowly as we progress through the day as high pressure slowly builds in behind a cold front. Temperatures this afternoon will be noticeably cooler than the last few days only reaching into the upper 70s to near 80 degrees for Friday. Overnight tonight we track partly cloudy skies, lows falling into the upper 50s with dry conditions. Fog could develop once again, late and could be dense in some locations waking up early Saturday morning.
Sunshine looks to return for Saturday as a very weak front moves towards the Twin Tiers. This will act to produce a few very isolated showers or pop-up storms very late and overnight on Saturday. Most of your daylight hours should be sunny and dry. High temperatures will climb back into the mid to upper 80s. Sunday we track mostly sunny skies, temperatures right near average in the low 80s along with dew points back in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees which means we are on the more comfortable side of things.
High pressure has a firm grip on the Twin Tiers into Monday as we track mostly sunny skies again along with temperatures in the mid-80s. A beautiful stretch of sunny summer-like conditions. That will begin to change as we move into Tuesday and mid next week as another spell of hot and stormy weather look to appear.
