AVERAGE HIGH FOR AUGUST 14TH: 81°
AVERAGE LOW FOR AUGUST 14TH: 56°
WEDNESDAY SUNRISE: 6:14 AM
WEDNESDAY SUNSET: 8:10 PM
High pressure to our north is the main influence Wednesday night. Decreasing clouds for the evening, turning mostly clear overnight. Fog develops late, mainly in valley locations. Light winds with limited cloud cover help drop temperatures into the low to mid 50s for lows.
Next weather-maker approaches the region Thursday. Isolated showers possible in the morning, but best chances for rainfall in the afternoon and evening hours. Most of the Twin Tiers expecting a few rumbles of thunder, but enough forcing is present for a few stronger thunderstorms in portions of western NY and Pa., which includes Steuben and Tioga (Pa.) counties. Highs Thursday near 80 degrees and dew point temperatures rising into the low to mid 60s. Chance for showers and thunderstorms continues Thursday night, but becoming more isolated in coverage. Lows Thursday night in the low to mid 60s.
Active weather pattern continues Friday and for the weekend as multiple disturbances pass through the region. Still, best chances for rainfall in the afternoon and evening hours. Highs Friday near 80 degrees, then into the 80s for highs for the weekend. Humidity on the rise, as well.
