Two words: high pressure. That is the main story for the next several days as it sets into the region bringing slightly cooler than average temperatures to the Twin Tiers along with sunny skies. The weather maker, or lack thereof, is centered over just north of Michigan and will allow the eastern half of the U.S. to get a bit of a break from the heat, especially the Twin Tiers. High temperatures today in the lower 70s with sunny skies expected. Lows tonight expected to drop into the upper 40s, clear skies and areas of fog possible.
Tomorrow sees a similar forecast with temperatures slightly higher in the mid 70s. Sunny skies again and dry, a perfect Sunday to get outside and enjoy it. Tomorrow we drop to a low in the lower 50s.
Monday continued the beautiful weather trend with highs in the mid 70s again and some clouds passing through. Weather good enough to cure the Monday blues. Lows Monday in the mid 50s.
Tuesday is when our next real weather maker starts creeping in on us in the form of a low pressure system. Clouds increasing in the late hours of Tuesday with slight chances of showers. The cold front passes Wednesday bring chances of showers and thunderstorms once again to the area.
