Happy Wednesday Twin Tiers! We wake up this morning to some areas of patchy fog, this will continue it lift out of the region through the early morning hours giving way to sunny skies for your afternoon. High pressure remains locked into the Twin Tiers with fall like conditions returning once again. Temperatures today reach into the low 70s with dew points also near 50 degrees, it will feel cool and crisp outside all day today. Clear skies continue for us into tonight with light winds meaning patchy fog will develop yet again and temperatures will fall into the low to mid 40s overnight.
A large area of high pressure stays in control through the end of the week delivering multiple days of sunshine and dry, comfortable conditions. Highs, as we enter towards Friday, will start to climb however as a ridge of warmer air starts to build into the northeast. This will mean highs on Friday will reach closer to 80 degrees. Some summer-like warmth returns for our weekend with dry conditions and sunshine continuing. Highs this weekend look to reach into the low 80s with mostly to partly sunny skies. Overnight lows stay in the 40s and 50s over the next few days.
Our first day of Fall is Monday of next week, and it looks to be a dreary one with limited sunshine and shower chances through the afternoon. Luckily we do look like we cool off and dry out into early and mid next week as sunshine returns and temperatures fall back into the low 70s.
