High pressure in control of our region through the workweek. Mainly clear skies continue for Thursday night. Limited to no cloud cover combined with calm winds help set the stage for radiational cooling, allowing temperatures to drop quickly. Lows Thursday night in the low to mid 40s. Light winds also helping with valley fog formation overnight.
Fog lifts through early Friday morning, turning mostly sunny for the afternoon as a ridge of high pressure remains in control of our region. Temperatures warming into the mid to upper 70s for the afternoon, feeling comfortable with dew point temperatures into the 50s. Mainly clear to partly cloudy overnight with valley fog late. Lows near 50 degrees.
High pressure shifts east on Saturday and winds turn to out of the southwest. Winds usher in some warmth along with moisture for the afternoon. A weak disturbance combined with afternoon heating may trigger some isolated showers in portions of western NY and Pa., but little if any rainfall at all. Highs Saturday near 80 degrees. Some light cloud cover overnight holding in some heat with lows in the mid to upper 50s. Quiet conditions continue for Sunday with filtered sunshine. Highs Sunday near 80 degrees. A cold front drops through the region Monday giving us a chance for showers. Cooler and drier air works in behind the front. Highs Monday in the mid to upper 70s, closer to 70 degrees for Tuesday.
