Happy Friday Twin Tiers! High pressure remains in control for the region for yet another day today. An identical morning compared to the last few with patchy fog in some areas lingering until around 9 to 10 am before giving way to mostly sunny skies for the late morning and afternoon. Temperatures will begin to rise slightly above average in the mid to upper 70s for afternoon highs. Dew points remain in the low 50s, meaning we stay on the comfortable side into the end of your workweek. Mainly clear to partly cloudy late tonight with patchy fog developing yet again towards the midnight hour. Overnight lows in the upper 40s and lower 50s.

This weekend high pressure begins to shift east as winds being to turn out of the south helping to usher in warmer conditions and some moisture. This means with sunshine and heating we could see a few isolated showers in very western portions of the twin tiers on Saturday afternoon, otherwise, we stay dry with sunshine. Highs are warmer, in the lower 80s for the afternoon. Overnight we stay dry with lows staying a bit warmer than average in the upper 50s. Sunday looks dry with sunshine and clouds with warmer temperatures in the mid to lower 80s for highs.

A cold front then moves across the Twin Tiers for your first day of fall on Monday. This will bring cloud cover and the chance for showers through the afternoon. Mostly cloudy to start the week, rainfall totals right now look on the light side. Temperatures begin to cool behind this, feeling very fall-like by Tuesday with highs in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees and some sunshine returning mid-week.
