High pressure in control of the region Friday, but slowly moving east. Next weather-maker approaching from the west leads to increasing cloud cover late Friday night. Clouds along with a southerly wind trapping in the heat overnight with temperatures only cooling into the mid to upper 50s.
Another frontal system impacting the region this weekend. Increasing clouds into Saturday morning. Spotty showers possible in the morning, but best timing for showers and thunderstorms will be in the afternoon and evening as a cold front pushes through the region. Possibility for an isolated strong to severe thunderstorm with gusty winds, small hail, and downpours. Highs Saturday near 80 degrees, feeling humid with plenty of moisture over the region. Stray to isolated showers linger overnight and lows in the mid to upper 50s.
High pressure builds in from our north Sunday. Isolated showers possible early, otherwise drying out with decreasing clouds. Highs Sunday near 70 degrees, feeling comfortable as northerly winds usher in drier air. Active weather continues early next week along with a roller coaster of temperatures. Chance for showers returns late Monday night and continues through midweek. Warming trend in temperatures with highs by Tuesday near 80 degrees. Temperatures dropping again for the end of the workweek with highs into the 60s again by Thursday.
