Increasing clouds Tuesday night ahead of our next weather-maker. Southerly winds combined with clouds trapping in some heat overnight. Above average for lows with temperatures cooling into the low to mid 60s.
Another cold front moves through the region Wednesday bringing the chance for showers and thunderstorms. Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms possible for the afternoon with gusty winds and hail the biggest threats. Otherwise, mostly cloudy with highs Wednesday into the mid to upper 70s. Clearing behind the cold front with cooler and drier air working back into the region. Patchy fog late Wednesday night and lows near 50 degrees.
High pressure builds into the region Thursday bringing plenty of sunshine. Fall-like temperatures making a return with highs Thursday near 70 degrees. Multiple weak disturbances bring a chance for isolated showers Friday and for the weekend. Little if any rainfall, though. Slightly cooler than average temperatures continue into the weekend with highs near 70 degrees.
Models keeping remnants of Dorian off to the East Coast for the end of the workweek, having no impact for us here in the Twin Tiers.
