Happy Wednesday Twin Tiers! We are currently tracking a cold front moving through the region that will bring showers and a few thunderstorms through late morning and early afternoon. A few isolated severe storms are possible that would include gusty winds, hail and heavy rainfall. Otherwise, most of us stay on the cloudy side with some sunshine at times. High temperatures reach into the mid to upper 70s. Winds out fo the northwest this afternoon 5-15 mph could gust over 25 mph at times. Behind this cold front, we begin to clear and dry out. Patchy fog will develop late tonight as lows fall back towards reasonable levels in the low 50s even a few upper 40-degree readings are possible.

High pressure builds into the Twin Tiers for Thursday which means we are not only dry but sunny! Temperatures will be much cooler as well and feeling very fall-like with low humidity and highs near 70 degrees. We remain mostly dry into Friday with sunshine again before a weaker cold front pushes through the region once again on Saturday. This will create more cloud cover on Saturday and there is also the risk of a very isolated shower – but most of us stay dry. Temperatures Friday and Saturday in the low 70s.

Behind this cold front, we see temperatures only topping off in the mid to upper 60s Sunday and into Monday. Sunshine returns and continues into early next week. Temperatures look to warm back into the 70s into mid next week. Model trends remain the same for Hurricane Dorian, keeping it far off the East Coast and having no impact on the Twin Tiers!
