Cooler and drier air works into the region Wednesday evening in the wake of a cold front. Mostly clear to partly cloudy with valley fog late. Lows Wednesday night near 50 degrees.
Valley fog lifts Thursday morning and sunshine returns for the afternoon as an area of high pressure builds into the region. Fall-like temperatures making a return as a cooler air mass sits over the region. Highs Thursday near 70 degrees, slightly below average for this time of the year. Areas of fog developing late Thursday night and lows near 50 degrees.
Latest track for Dorian keeps this system riding up along the coast Friday, far enough away to keep wind and most rainfall away from the Twin Tiers. Clouds will be increasing Friday, though. Weak disturbance coming in from over the Great Lakes also impacting us, which may bring a stray shower to the area. Highs Friday near 70 degrees.
Multiple weak disturbances bring a chance for isolated showers for the weekend. Little if any rainfall, though. Slightly cooler than average temperatures continue into the weekend with highs near 70 degrees. High pressure builds back over the region into early next week, giving us dry weather for Monday.
