High pressure in the Twin Tiers has kept the weekend cool and comfortable so far. Those conditions will extend into tomorrow with another cool day. Light showers are possible with a high in the low 70s, just a couple degrees below average. Tomorrow night will keep the clouds and cool down to the lower 50s.

The beginning of the work week is much the same with more breaks in the clouds than over the weekend. Dry conditions expected with a high right around the average of 72 degrees. Clouds may increase in the overnight hours with a low in the lower 50s.

Tuesday begins a warming trend along which will also bring rain chances back to the Twin Tiers. A high pressure system over the southeast U.S. will set in and direct flow from the southwest regions into the northeast, bringing warmer temperatures and higher instability. Afternoon and evening showers Tuesday with a high in the mid 70s.

Wednesday sees us return to the lower 80s as that southwest flow really sets in and allows us to warm up, also bringing shower and thunderstorm chances.
