Crockpot Shepard's Pie

Crockpot Shepard's Pie

2 lbs. lean ground beef

1/2 onion, small dice

3 tbsp. olive oil

6 medium red potatoes, mashed using your recipe

6 tbsp. McCormick's gravy mix

1 1/2 tsp. granulated garlic

1 1/2 tsp. onion powder

1 tsp. seasoning salt

1/2 tsp. black pepper

1 tsp. paprika

1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon

1 tsp. Herbs de Provence

1 tbsp. ketchup

2 10 1/2 oz. cans mushroom soup

1 cup water

12 oz. pkg. frozen sliced carrots

12 oz. pkg. frozen peas

2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese

Basic Preparation

Saute the ground beef with the onion and dry seasonings. Next, add the gravy mix and stir well. Now, stir in the ketchup, mushroom soup, and water. Mix until all ingredients are well combined. Add both the frozen carrots and peas and stir to combine.Turn off the burner and spray the crockpot liner with release. Pour the mixture into the liner and spread to level.

Take the mashed potatoes and spread evenly over the mixture. Sprinkle with paprika and place the liner in the crockpot. Cook on high for 4 hours. During the last hour, sprinkle the surface with grated sharp cheddar cheese and allow to melt. Serve immediately with Irish soda bread

Cook time: 4 hours on low
